26575kg The Spanish Lidia Valentin was disappointed fourth with 265kg. During a follow-up test of the doping samples from 2012, it emerged that all three medalists Kazakhstani Svetlana Podobedowa and Russian Natalya Zabolotnaya with 291kg each and Belarusian Iryna Kulesha with 269kg doped with stanazolol and Turinabol. In 2016 all three were disqualified and had to hand over their medals. The following athletes moved up and Lidia Valentin even became Olympic champion afterwards. But she was cheated out of the immediate feelings of deserved triumph.
