1:30:57.1The Russian Larissa Lasutina finished with best time. However, since she had previously been doped with EPO in the 15-kilometer freestyle and 10-pursuit races, she was eliminated from the results list soon after the race. Overall, Lasutina were revoked in the 2002 games three medals. The two Italians Gabriella Paruzzi and Stefania Belmondo, as well as the Norwegian Bente Skari advanced to the medal places.
