Alain Baxter was the first British skier to win an Olympic medal in alpine skiing. In the slalom he finished third in 1: 42.32. But his Naesenspray was doomed to him, because it contained methamphetamine. Baxter was credible in his hearing that he inadvertently took some of the drugs on the doping list. Nevertheless, he had to give the bronze medal, which was awarded to the Austrian Benjamin Raich. Baxter got away with a 3-month ban.
