Men's Welterweight
on September 22, 1904
in St. Louis
145 lbs A boxer competed under the name Jack Egan and won silver in the lightweight division and bronze in the welterweight division. It later turned out that this was not his real name, in fact his name was Frank Floyd. Competing under a false name was illegal under AAU rules and he was stripped of his two medals. The athletes moved up in both weight classes.
